Kiki Smith’s “Near” (2005)

Went on a trip to San Francisco: a highlight was the De Young Museum, where we encountered this piece by Kiki Smith.

It was easy to miss, upon seeing the text on the wall we look around for the piece, which was mounted on the extremely high ceiling. It was one of my favorite works of art I saw in San Francisco.
